As happens in all organizations that grow, change in leadership in inevitable. But that also affords me a new pool of people in which to base a character on. The leader was easy to come up with, and the name was easier still since her name + the organization name rolls nicely into KavEITS (pronounced Kav-eets). Then came the design phase and figuring out the attributes and functions. Anyone who has met her would agree that she is intelligent, personable, and possesses a strong personality. The strength is what I cued off, and after a bit of consideration, decided that she reminded me of the fictional Valkyrie. That translated to the design of her robot. Her Hard Surface Repulsor Helmet, based on a Valkyrie’s battle helmet, is for cranial protection in the event there is an urge to pound her head on hard surface. The associated helmet wings are really an Enhanced Audio Input Array which allows for the reception of the smallest spoken detail. Her visor is for a 360 Degree Visual Intake, and provides the ability to not miss a thing, even while keeping her head in a stationary position. This leads to the use of her Positive Feedback Portal, which coincidently is equipped with filters that limit verbal blunt force trauma when projects go awry. Once she has been briefed on project status, she can utilize her Course Correction Console, which has an embedded compass, to ensure tasks stay on course. The upper body was designed around the Valkyrie’s body armor. Her Task Status Indicators are used to Indicate the progress level of team tasks with yellow, green, and red status. Of course, we all know how meetings go, so she is also designed with a 2 Places @ Once Transport. This is still a work in progress to fix the ever-present overlapping meeting schedule. |
